The Bull at Pinehurst Farms has named Ryan Bork, PGA as the club’s new head golf professional. He will succeed Scott Evans who is retiring after leading the golf program for the past seven years.
Ryan has extensive experience in the golf industry which started when he worked as a caddie at Whistling Straits. After his successful high school golf career, he went on to play at Lakeland University before becoming a PGA Pro. After a brief stint at Western Lakes Golf Club and Willow Run Golf Course in Pewaukee, he returned to Sheboygan County to become an assistant pro at Town & Country Golf Course in Sheboygan. In recent years, he came full circle when he assumed responsibilities as head golf coach for Lakeland University. As a professional he’s been fortunate to work at a variety of golf venues and is the perfect candidate to lead and deliver the level of customer service that’s expected at The Bull. He brings the perfect combination of high-level golf knowledge, experience, and Midwestern hospitality to the team at The Bull.
“Ryan understands the importance of delivering high-quality customer service and we’re excited he will enhance the golf experience that people expect at The Bull,” said Randy Groth, who along with John Dunfee is co-owner of The Bull. “He’s the kind of leader who demonstrates humility and carries himself with a friendly and confident demeanor.”
“We’re excited to have Ryan join our already strong management team.” Said John Dunfee. “We have invested heavily in bringing our Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and the entire Bull complex up to the highest standards, and hiring Ryan is the perfect next step. His background, reputation, and local roots are a perfect fit for The Bull.”
“I am very proud to take the next step forward in my career as head golf pro at The Bull,” said Bork. “I’ve loved golf since a very early age and helping give each person the best possible experience every day is something I take pride in. It was a joy working with everyone at Town & Country Golf Course, and I hope to replicate the same success at The Bull. The Bull is a top-tier golf course that’s truly a gem that delivers a resort-like golf experience. I look forward to joining the team.”
Designed by Jack Nicklaus and widely regarded as one of the top golf courses in Wisconsin, and top 100 in the nation, The Bull is a beautiful and unrelenting championship course. Spread out over 400-plus acres of former farmland, it impressively incorporates the Onion River, dense forest, dramatic elevation changes, and many other obstacles. The course presents one signature hole after another – all different, and all working together to create an experience truly worthy of the Nicklaus Signature Course.
